Allan Fletcher
Dr. Allan W. Fletcher, Emeritus, recently retired after nearly 30 years at BSU. He earned a Bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University in Zoology and Masters and PhD degrees from the University of Washington.
Dr. Fletcher teaches the Western Civilization sequence, a year long History of England, Irish history, and International History of Modern Europe. Dr. Fletcher is especially interested in the coming of the two World Wars in the 20th Century from the English perspective. He has done research on the English policy of Appeasement in the 1930s. Dr. Fletcher has taught occasional seminars on World I, World War II and the Cold War. For a change of pace, Dr. Fletcher enjoys teaching Victorian England.
Dr. Fletcher continues to teach for the history department as an adjunct.
