Hi and welcome to my home page. Since 1994 I've worked as the Asian Historian at Boise State University. In 2003 I became the college's associate dean. Boise State University is a great place to teach, research, and write. In many ways, however, Boise is so far from where things started for me. I was born and raised in the Philippines; for my first eighteen years I lived in Baguio City and moved to the United States following high school graduation. While I have great memories of youth (especially the friends that made Baguio such a wonderful place to grow up in), it is hard to beat a beautiful place like southwestern Idaho. The University is supportive of innovative teaching and cutting edge research. Once the work day is over, there is nothing I like to do more than to hang out with Karen (my wife) and Lindsay (our son). We love walks, playing B-Ball, frisbee golf, mountain biking, snow boarding, fly fishing, and anything that we do together as a family. Comments and suggestions are always welcome and please feel free to email them to me. |
