You will see lots of lions around Venice. Why?
This is St. Mark's cathedral. The design looks a little eastern to me. Why would that be?
I couldn't find a good picture of it, but you should investigate the Arsenal. It's a truly interesting aspect of the city.
These horses are cast bronze. They used to sit right up over the entrance to St. Mark's, but they've been moved into a museum now to protect them from decay from pollution. See if you can find out who made these horses and how they wound up in Venice. It's quite a story!
